Nashville, TN(June 14, 2011) -- Epiphone is bringing back the first Casino in celebration of it's 50th anniversary - the '1961' Casino. Introduced in 1961, the original Casino had unique features that ultimately were never offered beyond that first year. These include the pre-Gibson era triangle metal logo badge on the headstock, 'Dot' fingerboard inlays, a blank two-ply 'bullet' truss rod cover, a tortoise-colored pickguard with foil 'E', and black dog-ear P-90 pickups. Epiphone has faithfully reproduced these features for a one-of-a-kind retro look not found on Casinos produced after 1961. Other attention to detail includes the correct 'burst' patterns on front and back, a neck joint at the 16th fret (instead of the 17th), Wilkinson Vintage-Style tuners with white buttons, and the historically accurate rectangle 'blue label' inside the sound hole.

1. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the first Casino, Epiphone has created the limited-edition 1961 Anniversary Casino, which has many features that were discontinued after the original Casino’s first year of production. Only 1,961 Anniversary Casinos have been produced, each with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
2. Epiphone Casino 50th Anniversary with Gibson P90 pickups. Excellent condition, never gigged and has been setup to have a great low action. Comes with hard case, numbered certificate and removed scratc.

Since the original Casinos incorporated parts and electronics from the Gibson factory, the 1961 Anniversary Casino has followed the same philosophy. Epiphone has recreated the original black P90s using a Gibson USA P-90R dog-ear pickup for rhythm and a Gibson USA P-90T at the bridge. They also feature vintage two-conductor, braided, shielded wiring and black plastic covers. Other electronics faithful to the original Casino include a Switchcraft 3-way toggle and 1/4' output jack.
The body is made of 5-layer Maple/Birch with a solid Mahogany SlimTaper neck attached using the traditional mortise and tenon neck joint hand-fitted and glued to the body using TiteBond glue. Hardware includes a tune-o-matic bridge and your choice of either a Trapeze tailpiece or Epiphone's new reissue of the original Tremotone vibrato. Epiphone is only making a total of 1,961 Anniversary Casinos.

2014 Custom Shop Gibson Les Paul 1960 Reissue AGED! SOLD! Here’s an awesome Custom Shop Les Paul 1960 reissue aged in house by us. Not over the top. Not cheesy. Not belt sanded like the other “relic” jobs you see out there, this one has a great vibe with subtle touches that really set it apart. We started with a great guitar. This is the full monty 1960 R0 reissue and not the cheaper G0 reissues you could get at the local super stores. It also has the new 20th anniversary specs including hot hide glue construction and analine dye. The non weight relived body is one piece mahogany for incredible sustain. The slightly flamed maple top features the authentic 50’s contour. The one piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with correct shape trapezoid fingerboard inlays. Thinner but not mega thin 60s neck. Nice figure and color on the board and inlays. Alnico 3 CustomBucker humbucking pickups deliver killer PAF tone. Long neck tenon. Stopbar Tailpiece, ABR-1 Tuneomatic bridge and Kluson tuners keep it rock solid. The nitro lacquer dark burst finish looks awesome. We have done a light to medium aging on the finish. 1984 Gibson Explorer in Mega Rare Green Burst Custom Color! SOLD! Holy moley! I don't think this guitar will appeal to anyone that likes 'subtle' or 'understated'. This is easily one of the craziest looking Explorers I've ever seen. This is custom colored 1984 Explorer with the classic 3 in line control configuration and pickguard. How many did they make? Not many I would guess. Maybe just this one. Super rare as the color is definitely amazing but the fact that the specs are based on the classic 1976 Explorer as opposed to the Kahler, no pickguard, etc things they were doing then leads credence to the idea that someone special ordered it this way. It’s not an E2, it doesn’t have a Kahler and it’s always had a pickguard. Much cooler and more desirable than the shredder Explorers that Gobson was making at the time. Dual Dirty Finger humbuckers deliver big tone. Gibson branded tuners, Tuneomatic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece keep it rock solid. The finish is an incredible green metallic burst. 2014 Gibson J-15 SOLD! A real Gibson acoustic at a great price! The Gibson J15 is a stripped down flat top that has that great Gibson tone. Made in the USA. The top is solid spruce while the back and sides are solid walnut. The set maple neck features a walnut fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. A Tusq nut, Tusq saddle and Grover Rotomatic tuners round out the hardware. An LR Baggs pickup lets you plug in too for a great amplified sound. This example is finished in natural lacquer. It’s sort of a blend between a modern Les Paul Standard and the Custom Shop Class 5. The specs are top notch. The chambered body is mahogany with a carved flame maple top. The mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Burstbucker 2 and 3 humbuckers dish out killer tone.
