My experiences with Hermes have been generally pretty good, though I’ve often found they are twice their quoted delivery speed, i.e. 6-10 days, not 3-5. Never had a missed collection when booked so I guess that depends on the reliability of your local volunteers (which they virtually are!). Hermes time slots dont actually mean that much and I wouldnt go off them for delivery updates anymore, I had one yesterday delivery slot 19:00-21:00, at 19:05 I had another email and it changed to 18:00-20:00 which I thought was a bit odd due to it being just after 19:00 already.
